Holiday Rope Jam

Our holiday rope jam will now have a performance from our out-of-town presenter Shibari Shawn with his boy Sean!  This holiday party is nothing like your work holiday party!

Attendance

For those who have already been vetted but haven't been to the studio: 
  • You can get your ticket!
For EVERYONE who hasn’t already been to the studio:
  • Please fill out our vetting form is here
  • Send us an email at boundlarkrs@gmail.com that you would like to be placed on the waiting list. 
  • Vetting takes time because we have regular jobs and it’s a process!
  • Then you will be placed on the waiting list. 
  • If the jam is not full, then these open spots will be released to you 72 hours before the event
Same as before:
  • We will wish for people to remain comfortable to play and socialize given the intimate space of the studio. 
  • There is no prerequisite of experience or skill level, just respect, open-mindedness and courtesy towards one another and the venue.

Logistics

  • Doors open 6pm
  • You are welcome to come/go at any time. 
  • BYO dinner, snack or drinks that make you comfortable at our studio. 
  • Alcohol is typically not encouraged but if you do want to consume, please note that if you appear unsafe or disrespectful, then you will be asked to leave.

Tickets

  • Those who previously purchased a ticket before the performance was added - there is no change, you got the ticket at our regular jam price!
  • $45 + processing fees
  • There are four “pay-what-you-want” spots. Please allow those who really need this option to take it. Since we have a performance, we have set a minimum to $20. 
  • Your privacy matters to us. If you choose this ticket, it will remain confidential. We honor every ticket and ticketholder the same way no matter what amount you choose. 
  • Tickets are per person. 
  • The space is intimate, and attendance will be capped to allow everyone to be able to socialize and play comfortably.

Presenter Bio: Shibari Shawn (he/him)

Shibari Shawn is a gay shibari/kinbaku artist and rope bondage educator living in Seattle, WA. He is the founder and lead instructor at the House of Knotty. In addition, He is the chair of the education committee for the Seattle Leather Service Corps and a  member of the Seattle Men in Leather and DELTA brotherhood international.  He is also the organizer of RopeLab Seattle, a monthly men’s ropebondage group: https://seattleleather.org/events-lite/rope-lab/. 


Over the past 3 years, he has led various rope bondage workshops and weekend intensives in Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Austin.  He has presented rope workshops at 2021, 2022, and 2023 CLAW LA Leather Getaway in 2023 LA Leather Getaway, He is one of the Keynote presenters with my presentation titled: “Tie Me Tight: Sexual Agency, Hypermasculinity, and Consensual Non-consent.” In 2024, he has presented rope workshops at Austin Kink Weekend in Texas.
