Thoughts on Thursdays
with Guest Speaker Paige_sunshine
Thu November 20th, 7:30-9:30pm EST
Topic:
How Rope Shapes Us - Reflection, Growth, and Gratitude
Rope changes with us–through learning, connection, and time. What begins as curiosity can grow into practice, artistry, and deep emotional expression. It can challenge us, deepen our relationships, and shape how we see ourselves and others.
This month, we’ll be joined by Paige, a rope bottom whose journey has evolved from local jams to international performances and teaching.Through her journey, Paige has explored the physical intensity and emotional depth of kinbaku, learning how growth, fulfillment, and gratitude show up through repetition, trust, and community.
Together, we’ll talk about how rope continues to shape us–how our sense of purpose, connection, and meaning evolves over time. Paige will share stories and insights from her own evolution in rope. The conversation will explore how her understanding and relationship to play, fulfillment, and community has shifted as her practice deepened, and what’s learned along the way. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions, share reflections, or draw parallels from their own journeys as we explore how rope continues to shape who we are and what we value.
Some of the things we will reflect on:
How has your view of rope changed as you’ve learned and grown?
What did you once expect, and what shifted your perspective?
What moments, people, or lessons have left a lasting mark?
How does gratitude show up in your practice - not just for what feels easy, but for what has helped you grow?
Whether you’re new to rope or years into your practice, this evening offers a space to listen, learn and reflect on how rope transforms and sustains us.
This roundtable is open to and appropriate for all members of the rope community. Because this is virtual, it does not qualify as a vetting event for the studio.

Guest Speaker: Paige_sunshine
Paige is a rope bottom who discovered a love for bondage early on in her kink journey. After meeting Odys at the beginning of 2022, she began exploring rope suspension, finding new ways to challenge herself and connect with her partner. She became enchanted by the emotional depth and physical torment of kinbaku, valuing the importance of tying with intention while mitigating safety risks.
She has assisted Odys with many lessons and workshops, has attended a workshop with KinbakuLuxuria and studied with Naka Akira in Tokyo to deepen her understanding of Naka style rope bondage. She has performed in Detroit, Lancaster, Baltimore, and Tokyo.
