Thoughts on Thursdays
Thu August 21st, 7:30-9:30pm EST
Topic:
"A Healthy Rope Community"
What is a community? How do we create and maintain an environment for a collective to engage in consensual respectful practices with rope and other kinks? What are the expectations and responsibilities of event organizers from the community? What considerations are there between complex relational dynamics and comfortably sharing space? What can we do as a community and venue owner when harm happens?
We hope to spark a lively discussion on this complicated and very relevant topic for anyone wanting to be in an environment that promotes a safe and healthy place to engage with others like them
This roundtable is open to and appropriate for all members of the rope community. Because this is virtual, it does not qualify as a vetting event for the studio.
About Thoughts on Thursdays:
Our roundtable approach includes all rope practitioners of all skill and interest levels! We invite all rope tops, bottoms and curious parties to join together to discuss a topic and share your perspective. This will occur usually occur on every Third Thursdays of the month.
Our goal is that you walk away with increased confidence in your own practice and your relationship to rope and with your own partners, present and future.
Get to know the people in our community and learn more about who they are, how they feel about rope, what draws them to it and what their process is.
