Work of Art with Ari

Work of Art

a live drawing event

This month’s Work of Art will be a live co-top scene with Veers, Violet, and Ari where poses will be held with rope while other kinks will be incorporated. Artists are welcome to draw at any point during the evening, of the play, of the tops and the bottom while she is in a held position. Please note, you may see impact, sadism and nudity during this session.

About Work of Art:
The human figure is one of the most enduring themes in the visual arts. We are inviting artists to join us for an evening of life drawing of a human figure in rope.

This event will give attendees an opportunity to contemplate how a human figure is expressed in rope bondage and capture it in their own artistic representation.

Curious observers are welcome to attend the event, however please note that priority seating will be given to artists.

Bio/About Ari:

Ari (she/her) is a rope bottom, submissive, and masochist who has been engaging with rope in various forms since 2010, with a more intentional and discerning practice in recent years.

For her, rope is not defined by structure or sensation alone, but by the way her nervous system responds to presence, intention, and attunement. Her experience is rooted in a deep attention to internal landscape, particularly the difference between participating in rope and being changed by it. She is drawn to the moments where the body softens, breath drops, and surrender emerges not as a decision, but as a response to trust, care, and feeling deeply held. She is especially interested in the challenge rope can invite when guided by those she trusts, and in the ways connection can create space to safely explore edges, vulnerability, and growth.

With a background in kinesiology and medicine, Ari brings a body-aware and safety-informed perspective to her work. She is interested not only in physical risk mitigation, but in how pacing, attunement, and emotional presence shape a bottom’s ability to access depth in a sustainable way. As part of the volunteer staff at Bound Lark Rope Studio, she approaches her involvement in rope in service to the community, with a focus on supporting thoughtful, intentional, and sustainable practices.

For Ari, rope is ultimately about connection. It is a space where she continues to explore what it means to trust her own internal signals and choose where and how she is willing to open.
